To teach children that Jesus wants to be and will be their best friend To teach Biblical and Christian values To develop each child’s individual potential To help students develop feelings of self-worth To help students develop an interest in, and experience the joy of learning To teach students to work and play cooperatively with other To help students understand their choices and accept responsibility including the consequences or rewards that come with those choices To provide a warm and nurturing environment for children while away from their homes and parents To help the students learn to think for themselves and not be merely reflectors of others’ thoughts To impart knowledge, understanding, and a personal relationship with God as the Creator and Source of life.
Accreditation
Rivergate Adventist Elementary is accredited through the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools. NAAS is one of six regional accreditation associations in the United States. Accreditation is a means of showing confidence in a schools performance. When Northwest Association of Accredited Schools accredits a school, it is certifying that the school has annually met the prescribed quantitive and qualitative standards of the Association, within the terms of the school's own stated mission and beliefs. It is also certifying that the school has undergone a self-study rather than comparisons with other schools. Rivergate Adventist Elementary & Preschool is a Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Eight-Grade School and Kindergarten, accredited with the Board of Regents of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventist, the North Pacific Union Conference Office of Education, and registered with the State of Oregon. Rivergate Adventist Elementary is a member of the National Council for Private School Accreditation in Alexandria, Virginia.
